Following a DVD programme or making up my own

I don't want to go to a gym but want to work out at home.
I've tried loads of programmes- Turbofire, Chalean Extreme, blogilates, Body Revolution and t25 as well as running. I get super excited and love them for a week or so but then get bored and give up until I get the next burst of enthusiasm for something new and it starts all over again . I'm wondering if making up my own programme will mean I'll get less bored but then I won't get the same progression.

Following a DVD program but make your own schedule with it. Ex. I've done BeFit in 90 on YouTube. Instead of following their schedule, I change the workouts every two weeks like Jillian does in Body Revolution. I modify if I need to. Ex. Modify Turbofire, Chalean Extreme, blogilates, Body Revolution and t25 by mixing up the schedule and/or shortening the workout time. Instead of doing Turbofire 55, make it Turbofire 25. Make Turbofire 25, Turbofire 15., etc. Instead of making Body Revolution 90 days, make it 45 days, etc. Modify when necessary.

Go on Youtube. There are loads of videos on there. Just avoid the dodgy celebrity ones if there are any. They are not worthy of your attention.
