Okay so tomorrow me and my mother in law are making a big CostCo run and i need to make my shopping list right now.
I want to get healthy stuff for dinner, and snacks (im pregnant and snack a lot) there are some things that are easy and i know we need, so heres my list so far, what would you add to it?
NOTE: i have about $250-$300 to spend.
Milk
Bread
Lunch meat
Chicken
Pasta Sauce
Cashews & other nuts (non salted)
Protein Powder
Veggies & Fruits
And thats about all i have right now, any suggestions?
Whats on your shopping list?

I usually get :
Eggs (duck or chicken)
Quark or Greek Yoghurt(full fat for the latter)
Nuts (almonds and pistachios)
Fish (both frozen and fresh - tuna, salmon, cod, pollock)
Apples
Bananas
Goat's cheese (great as a snack) or just normal emmental or gouda will suffice.
Oatmeal
Avocados(also good as a snack)
Popcorn(the healthier kind)
Lentils
Beans
Chickpeas
Rice(some form of wholegrain basmati or wild rice)
Quinoa
Sweet Potatoes/Baking potatoes
Butter
Hummus(great to dip hard boiled eggs and carrots in, or to have on a sandwich)
Cottage cheese (good snack with a banana)
Fruit bars (like bars made only with dried fruit and nuts)
Cornflakes or branflakes (no added sugar)0 -
Why not get some fish, or steak? You have a pretty decent amount to spend.0

make a meal plan first. i just 5 minutes ago made mine for tomorrow for regular shopping (we dont go to costco or sams or bj's) and its SO much easier to have a meal plan first. then i can mentally run though the pantry to see what i need, if anything, to make a particular meal. easy peasy. if you need new recipes, it takes a bit longer, but still, pick your new recipes, and go over the ingredient list to see what you have and what you need.
next week we hare having
pizza
beef stew
apricot glazed pork chops
lasagna
mustard crusted steak
pot roast
and chicken marsala.0 -
