Why not get some fish, or steak? You have a pretty decent amount to spend.

make a meal plan first. i just 5 minutes ago made mine for tomorrow for regular shopping (we dont go to costco or sams or bj's) and its SO much easier to have a meal plan first. then i can mentally run though the pantry to see what i need, if anything, to make a particular meal. easy peasy. if you need new recipes, it takes a bit longer, but still, pick your new recipes, and go over the ingredient list to see what you have and what you need.

    next week we hare having
    pizza
    beef stew
    apricot glazed pork chops
    lasagna
    mustard crusted steak
    pot roast
    and chicken marsala.

Eat Well Black bean hummus dip. Lo-cal 2T has 40 cal, 2 grams of fiber, 2 grams protein. Great with pretzel crisps or veggies and spread on a lavash with fresh veggies.

    My shopping list usually includes:
    -Eggs
    -Cottage cheese
    -Almonds
-Tyson Grilled n Ready chicken ( I usually put chicken in my salad)
    -Some sort of healthy(ish) cereal
    -Skim milk
    -Salad
    -Bananas, apples, oranges, and grapes.
    -Tuna fish, or chicken salad.
    - Low calorie wheat bread for my sandwiches. (I get the Sarah Lee 45 calorie bread.)
And today I tried Hummus for the first time, and fell in love. So from now on that will also be on my list. :) I have only tried it with pretzels though.. but I've heard that its good on toast and vegetables.
