Drinking calories?

I need opinions. So lately I've been noticing that milk and orange juice are high in calories but they aren't food, so I'm hesitant to keep wasting my calories on beverages. I don't drink pop so that's not an issue, and I always get plenty of water. The only drinks I ever splurge on are coffee, orange juice, milk, tea, and on rare occasions Gatorade. I am eating at 1,560 and trying to eat foods to keep me more full longer until I get more used to my calorie decrease. I'm trying to eat clean but at a healthy pace to try to prevent myself from bingeing at a later date. So needless to say, if I'm craving something chocolate, I'll have a cookie. Sorry with the rant about my diet, just giving an insight to my diet, I need help in all areas. Add me if you'd like, I'm low on friends and thanks in advance on advice

Hi there,
The first thing I cut out when starting to lose weight was my beloved coke...yes I know, bad girl. In fact I am now a tea total and water as I do not want to waste my calories on drinks. Fortunately I do not drink alcohol as this drinks have tons of calories.
The next thing I realised very quickly is that veggies, e.g. Asparagus, broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts have not got many calories and they fill you up very nicely.
Fruit Yoghurts are now exchanged for Greek yoghurt and some fresh fruits, particularly berries. This has tons of protein. Boiled eggs are also filling with not too many calories.
What I am trying to say is that I am trying to find food that fills me up with not too many calories. I also try to eat as clean as possible, though...do not look at my diary as at the moment I am on vacation.
Normally in the morning I drink a spinach smoothie with left over veggies and low sugar vanilla almond milk. Lunch is quite often a bit of hummus with tomatoes and bell peppers. Snacks is usually a Questbar, protein bar. Dinner often chicken with veggies.
I also do regularly the 5:2 Fasting, two days per week under 500 calories and the rest of the week under my TDEE.
I have lost 8kg in 12 weeks, which is quite a lot considering that I do not have that much to lose.
Finally, planing ahead really helps me. I try to figure out the night before what I am going to eat the next day and stick to it.
Best of luck

Liquid calories tend not to be filling so if you're on a calorie deficit, it's best to limit liquid calories and make sure you eat plenty of your calories from protein and fat in whole food sources as those two macronutrients keep you full.0
