NPR piece on why fat is not all bad

For the past 3 months I've been re-training myself to think about eating good fats and dumping "low fat" labels. I feel much better and have continued to lose the last 10 pounds--eating more full fat, skipping low fat. I also cut way down on carbs, eliminated most added sugars. Don't feel hungry or deprived.

Not preaching my way of eating, just suggesting it as one more of the many routes some readers may want to consider.

I started getting a good part of my fat from tree nuts especially in the morning. Walnuts in my oatmeal, yum!

But just like everything else, moderation is key!

I am constantly surprised that this is news. It's been decades since "low fat" diets were considered healthy without specific medical conditions.

fat is a macro nutrient- you need it to survive- I don't understand why this is still news.

The idea of a low fat diet being healthy has been so ingrained in our collective consciousness, it's hard to let go of. My man, who is very analytic and thoughtful, cannot let go of it in spite of evidence to the contrary.
