i find so many people become fixated on calories and calorie counting but we all have to keep in mind that calories are not all created equally! for instance, some people may avoid avocados because they have a lot of fat, or coconuts because they have a lot of saturated fat, but both are beneficial to the body. i have found myself becoming less consumed (no pun intended) with calorie counts. quality over quantity 
i may be biased because i'm a biology student, but it's just a thought for all of you. i would gladly open up my food diary to the public if i knew how.

I have always just done calories, and let the rest just fall into place, IMO I think a lot of people over think it.0
