Is Focus T25 enough for Meso-endomorphs?

Hi, everyone! I'm not usually much of a "poster", but I'm feeling some serious frustration today and thought I'd ask for some perspective/advice/sanity checks. My backstory: I quit smoking about 8 weeks ago (woo to the hoo!) and gained a fast 10 pounds, which happened when I quit before. So, I was prepared for it. I've done research and determined I am a meso-endomorph. I can tone up and build muscle fairly fast, but have a tendency to retain fat and water. I've been tracking my calories over a month now and been exercising 3-5 times a week consistently for about 4 weeks, after my doctor recommended a healthy outlet for stress.
I started the Focus T25 exercise program 2 1/2 weeks ago with high hopes (in addition to weekly Vinyasa yoga for an hour), and unfortunately, none of them have come to fruition with the exception of a general "tone up". Honestly, no changes in weight or inches. I expect a lot of people will say it's my diet, and that may be true. I've stuck to 1600 or less most of the time, with primary focus on proteins and healthy fats with some complex carbs, but admittedly, there were 2-3 "special occasion" days that were a good amount over the 1600. I overestimated those calories, though, based on similar MFP food entries, and even with that, the daily average of calories in vs. out, per my Fitbit One, still ended with a deficit. So, why am I not either losing weight or inches? Is T25 not enough activity for people with my body type? I tried this program because I needed something I could fit into my schedule (I work full-time and am in grad school.) and it sounded like it had good potential. Honestly, I feel more energized during the day, but not much else. I know it hasn't been that long, but it is very frustrating to think you're doing the "right" things and to get NO results. Not good for someone with patience issues...I had much better results with Jillian Michaels 1-hour programs, but I felt the 30-minute options didn't provide enough cardio to be effective for me, and I thought T25 had the cardio element. I know I can't do 5 days of an hour with my schedule, right now, but maybe I could add 20 minutes of strength training on a couple days?
Anyway, what do you think, MFPers? Any help is greatly appreciated!!
