I have a question

Hello all, I am new here and I have a question. My BMR is the amount of calories my needs every day, is that correct? My BMR says I need 2100 calories, so does that mean I need to eat that much daily? If I read right I take my TDEE and multiply that by 20 percent to get my calorie intake to lose weight? I am just trying to get started on the right path. Thanks for all of your help.

Start by using the MFP defaults. With 49 lb. to lose, set your goal to 1 lb. per week. Your calorie goal has your deficit built in, but no exercise. Log your exercise, and eat back at least half your exercise calories.
Log everything you eat & drink accurately & honestly. Weigh your food. Read this: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1080242-a-guide-to-get-you-started-on-your-path-to-sexypants0
