Sweet NSV

With my weight stalling for one month, I suddenly lost a lot of inches in the past 2 weeks. (Calorie deficit and lifting weights/cardio, nothing special.) I went from "ignore the mirror" (or 'check if those pants cover up my saddlebags well enough") to "hey, I look great!". I love mirrors now!
Since I can hardly believe it, I spent quite some time in front of the mirror yesterday. My 8yo daughter caught me there and said "yeah, Mom, you look great! You really look amazingly thinner than you used to a few weeks ago."

Having 5 girls (and girls only), I am VERY aware of what I role model for them. They see me tracking my food, they see me skip sweets but also eat sweets (=moderation). They even see me lighting weights, and we're going to run a 5K together. I hope that if ever they are unhappy with their body, they will ask me or remember that healthy eating and lifting and running work. And that one has control. But can also have fun. Balance, I guess. If I succeed in role modeling that, that would be big for me.

What an awesome NSV!!!!!!!!!! way to go!!!!! Body Positivity is so important especially to daughters! Growing up, my mom never once spoke about her weight or how she felt about her body in any negative way, and let me tell you, it's a huge role model! Go be inspiring!!
