5 x 50 Challenge starting tomorrow! Who's with me?

Hi everyone, I have just found out about an exercise challenge that starts tomorrow, and I am super excited by it so I wondered if anyone else has signed up to do 5 x 50?

5 x 50 is a commitment to walk/run/jog 5 km (or do 30 minutes of equivalent exercise) every day for 50 days in a row, starting on Sunday 30 March. You can find out more and sign up at www.5x50.org - it costs a minimum donation of £5 to register and the proceeds go to the UK charity Sport Relief.

I've just started a group for anyone who is taking part in this challenge: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/forums/show/57938-5-x-50-challenge - please join me and we can support each other through the next 50 days!

I like the look, but I can't fit it in. I tend to exercise 4-5 days a week. I don't mind an extra challenge I can do at home but I can't commit to getting out for 30 mins/5k per day. x Good luck

Hi guys, phew glad I found some other challengers! It would be cool to have a MFP team on the 5x50 website, but apparently you can only be in one team at a time, and I am already a member of a local group. Soooo, I have started a group on MFP so if anyone wants to join then come on over to: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/20597-5-x-50-challenge

    Be careful.

    14. No Advertising, Self-Promotion, or Fund-Raising

    a) You may not post any links or mentions of other services, websites, or businesses from which you or an associate might benefit financially or otherwise. This includes, but is not limited to; posts that contain links to offsite blog posts and social media. You also may not solicit off-Forum contact from which you might benefit, e.g. "message me for more info", “I can get you free samples”, etc.

    b) Requests or solicitations for donations are also not allowed. This includes requesting contributions to “pooled fund” competitions, requests for votes in any venue (online contests, etc.), and even requests for charitable contributions. As you can imagine, we have a lot of people who would like to raise money for worthy causes through the site. As much as we'd like to support these causes, if we were to allow requests for donations, the forums would quickly become full of such requests which would take away from the main purpose of the forums - to support one another.

    c) Posts or messages to members promoting websites that compete with MyFitnessPal are also prohibited.

I don't see how this post breaks any of these rules. The 5 x 50 website is a charity website linked with Sport Relief in the UK - it is not for profit - those of us who take part in the challenge aren't profiting and we aren't asking anyone here to sponsor us. The OP was just asking if anyone else was taking part and to join a group for support.
