Hip Replacements & Weights

Due to a condition called avascular necrosis, I had my right hip replaced TWICE last year. The first due to a bad surgery and the second one to correct the first. The last one was in December of 2013. I'm feeling much better now. Here are the issues: the more I walk (in order to help my right hip heal), the more damage that happens to the left hip. I want to do some weight lifting but I'm not sure where to start. I spent all of 2013 unable to walk and exercise. I'll be doing pool exercises but I want to add weights. Thanks.

Have you not gone to physical therapy? You can google "strength exercises after hip replacement" and find some specific information. But it would be best to start with PT and they should be able to give you specific exercises you can do at a gym.0

Speak to your physiotherapist or Orthopaedic surgeon they will be better suited to advise you on this0
