Remembering weights and reps

I'm starting to keep a folder with weight workouts in it that I printed from Pinterest but I don't really like carrying it around at the gym. How do you remember what weights/reps you do on a certain day, and what weight you use? I've been going about 3x per week for the past month and I plan to increase that soon.
I have an Android phone with MFP on it, but my gym doesn't have a great wifi connection. Just looking for ideas

I use jefit (http://jefit.com) as it has a built-in rest timer, but you can also use a simple spreadsheet on the phone.0

Yup, another jefit user. It's an app and website. You don't need internet connection to use it, just sync it when you get home.0

i workout at home, but i make somebody count my reps when i do the one thing i have to hold for ten seconds, and do 20 reps. i cant keep track in my head. one time i was home alone and pushed a sock across the floor, one rep per floorboard LOL

My guess is you curl in the squat rack, don't wipe down benches when you're done, leave the dumbbells on the floor, and the plates on the bar.0 -

I have an app called Full Fitness on my iPhone. Does not need an internet connection to record your workouts. It has a lot of different preprogrammed workouts, a huge amount of different exercises with pictures and videoclips plus you can create your own workouts and custom exercises. It has a timer as we'll. I love it! I think it was about $5 - more than worth it!0

I use an app called jefit...you can download other routines or create your own and share. You can input sets, reps and rest times. And it keeps track of your current weight and reps as well as estimating your 1 set max for both that workout and in general.0

Small notebook and pen. This way I can keep track of what and how much I am doing, I can also decide better when I need to boost my weights.0

I use an app called "fitness buddy" and I also use "fitocracy" sometimes. I plug in my workout routine and just simply choose the reps and weights I used that day while I'm working out. It keeps a memory log so I usually choose what I did the day before.
I sometimes consider having a paper and pen method only because it would feel so good to look at the improvement0 -

I have a spreadsheet print out with my exercises as well as weight increases/deload amounts for the month. Fold it in four squares caring it in my pocket, each square is a different week of the four. Takes less than a minute to print after first time filling in my 1rm & is geared with 5/3/1 specifically. No guessing what I'm going to do each day whats so ever.0

I have a notebook and pen, that way I can refer easily to a workout X pages back if it's similar to what I'm doing if it feels *too* different (too easy or a lot harder than expected)0

I make a little chart on Excel that lists the exercises. Then I write in the weight used on any given day, plus the number of reps for each set. It's just one piece of paper that lasts for like 4 weeks (doing strength three or five times per week). Would be happy to share you a template if I can figure out how to use Google docs or whatever

Spent an hour or two last weekend working up an Excel spreadsheet to track everything for a new program started this week. Muttering to myself all the while that someone must have made a decent app for this (but not spending the time to actually search for the right app). Now find this thread and JeFit. Just downloaded the app and set up my routines -- looks like exactly what I wanted! TY!0

Android has a free app called "Lifting Log" which tracks reps, weight and rest time between sets. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles, it's just a really simple program that only does the one thing. The reps are easy for me to remember because I use an app called (yes, all you hardcore lifters can start your laughter now) "5 Day Bodybuilding Schedule." This tells me what muscle groups to work on what days (M-F) and how many reps to do. The rep numbers don't change, the amount of weight does.

Thanks all.. I went and downloaded the Jetfit app I put in my workout from yesterday and it is just what I was looking for.
I have been using pen/paper but am trying to reduce what I take to the gym since mine doesn't have lockers to hold stuff. First day I had my iPod, phone, towel, water bottle, pen and notebook. It's alot to keep track of for me during the workout. So tomorrow I go with my phone, towel and water bottle. Liberating!0 -

Thanks to this thread I downloaded Jefit on Saturday and set up my current routine, as well as logged last my workouts with weights and reps for each split. Used it real time in the gym for the first time this AM. Really, really nice. Just what I was looking for. Thank you fellow MFPers for the heads-up!0

I'm old school, I use my notebook and a pen. My cycles are pre-set so I know exactly when I'm supposed to be working with day to day throughout the cycle and I just tick off whether I was able to do it or not and make any notes as necessary. I use Excel to build my program based on Wendler's 5/3/1 programming, slightly altered to be 8/6/3.0
