boxing/jump rope for cutting

About a week ago I was thinking how can I cut fat faster. And I went back to my old wrestling days in high school where id have to cut weight to compete. I absolutely HATE cardio so naturally I thought of boxing (punching bags, cardiovascular drills, jumping rope, etc). I've found it to be very successful. 5lbs off just this week.

What I want to know, have any of you guys ever tried this route, are you boxers/or novice regular Joes with some success hitting the bags. And I've started jumping rope as I mentioned, have any of you tried this as cardio alternative. Comment with your tips, trick, stories id love to hear them

For myself personally I've found kickboxing and jump roping extremely fun and it does work up a sweat. Definitely go for it. Can't really give you anything to go on though, I've only done it a couple times.

Bonus points cause it makes you feel pretty badass.

weight loss is not a sprint.

1lb a week is good for someone with 45lbs to lose.

Weight loss is about calories in vs calories out.

Eat at a reasonable deficet and you will lose weight.

Exercise is for health and can give you extra calories to eat if you use the NEAT Method per MFP. If you like jump rope and boxing go for it...if you don't really like it don't do it...find something you prefer.

I personally prefer my heavy weights...ie progressive load lifting program for my exercise to maintain the LBM I have and getting enough protien.
