The sausage will have the same result.

The bacon should have less fat, as it it easier to drain than in a frying pan.

But I would do both on a frying pan, till it is gone.

I'm not sure it would matter overmuch for bacon (never cooked sausage), because you don't add extra oil to fry bacon in. You just fry it in its own fat. For something like chicken where you would add in oil to fry, then I can see baking being less fattening if you don't add extra fat to it.

I've never fried a sausage I've always grilled mine but I was rubbish at turning them equally so I started doing mine in the oven on gas mark 4 or 5 for about 20/25 mins, I pop the grill wire over a tray to catch the fat and I definately notice more fat draining off this way and I don't have burnt sausages either. Just remember to turn them about 15 mins into cooking time.

baking your bacon is better for you - because (if you start with by placing your bacon in your pan, and put the pan in a cold oven) there will be no splatter on your stove top for you to clean up! So, no mess = better mental health!

IMO, there are worse things to have stocked in your pantry. Yummy bacon. Yummy sausage. Save that rendered lard to use in cooking! It's like liquid gold.
