Does it really matter where u get your calories from?

Just wondering.. Say if two individuals with same height, weight, age and etc. consume same amount of calories but one of them gets nutrition mainly from carbs and another person eats low-carb diet.
Would they have different weight loss and fitness results?
Sorry if it's stupid question but I really want to try low carb diet and I don't know if it's worth it.

Low carb has been a better eating plan for me and it seems more healthy to eat protein than carbs. You might want to Google :the bely fat diet" . Jorge wrote the book and will send daily emails and recipes for free. It is a low carb plan.

I lost most of my weight on low-carb - but I stopped low carb over 2 years ago and have still been losing on a high carb diet. It's all calories calories calories. Low carb works if you need the appetite suppressant effects of ketosis ( help you eat less because you're not hungry). Otherwise, eat a variety of foods and don't sweat low-carb / high-carb. With that said, if you want to maintain muscle and later want to build it too(after losing the fat on any diet), you'll need to consume proper amounts of protein - which you can get on either high or low carb.
