Bacon ice cream cinnamon rolls.

A few days ago, one of my friends showed me a Pinterest-type picture of someone rolling up slices of bacon into some Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls.
He did this because he loves me. And he remembers the last time I did something special with cinnamon rolls:

So I figured, hey, this is awesome. I can do this (it is, in fact, approaching the limits of my general baking ability, but I digress). So I promised him that I would. And today I did.
Let me preface this (am I too far into the post to start prefacing it?) by saying that I do not like to cook. I don't like spending time in the kitchen. For me to actually spend 30 minutes preparing something, it had better be something mind-blowing.
On to the pictures, which is what you're here for anyway. Are you even reading anymore? You know what, don't even tell me. I'd rather not know.
So it begins.
I immediately ran into a problem. I made the mistake of getting regular-size Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls. Turns out these don't unroll the way the Grands do. Crap. But, hey. I'm a pretty smart guy. I got this.
Boom.
While the cinnamon rolls were cooking, I left the other two pieces of bacon to cook longer. I had plans for those strips, and the plans called for them to be crispy. They had no idea what they were about to be a part of. Pretty sure I was smirking while watching them cook.
Yup. Mind blown.
Oh look the cinnamon rolls are done now!
This is where the magic really happens. First goes the ice cream....
Then the bacon bit-icing mixture.
Then the joy.
This all took about 30 minutes to put together and prepare from start to finish. It was unbelievable, no joke. The soft bacon wrapped around the gooey warm cinnamon roll was divine, and the crispy bacon bits along with the sweet icing and cookie bits in the ice cream made the whole thing amazing. The salty greasy bacon went so well with the sweet roll, ice cream, and icing.
Cinnamon rolls and ice cream go together like Pop-tarts and ice cream.
600 calories as pictured.

Sorry, I may have licked your pictures some. Since you are not a cook (by preference) I will tell you that the Pioneer Woman displays her recipes in the same format as you just did. It is an awesome way to showcase your food.
Well done - and nice improvisation!0 -
That. Is. Amazing.
