How are you losing those 10-15 pounds?

It's taking me forever to lose 10 pounds. When I started last year, I lost 5-6 pounds doing Crossfit in a month, which left me at 165. Then got back on track on November, and I lost around 7 pounds in 2 months. However, from January (around 158-159) pounds to today (March 30) I've lost 4 pounds!!! Ugh!
My stats: 5'5", female, 155 pounds, 26 years old. Maybe my metabolism is screwed, but I have no proof of this
Diet: 1500 calories, 45% from protein, 20-25% from fat, 30--35% from carbs
I do cardio on 5-6 days a week, weights 2x/week, and take group classes around twice a week.
Just wondering if anyone else is having the same struggle. It's taken me more time to lose 10 pounds than it takes people to lose 50-60 pounds! It's very frustrating.

I am nooooo expert but ive been told the more strength training the better....more muscle higher metabolism. Add 1 or 2 more days of strength in instead of cardio. Hope this helps!!0

The last pounds are harder to lose because USUALLY your body is at a healthy weight range and that means it will hold on to every bit of fat that it can.
To be successful in losing those last stubborn pounds, reduce weight lost per week to .5 lbs a week, track/measure/weigh everything, stick with your routine, and make sure you are completely honest with yourself. Maybe increase calories.0 -
I have 15 i want to lose
Im gonna zig zag my calories this week.0 -
I didn't lose them any differently than I lost the first 40 lbs. Generally, I would take a look at logging accuracy but your diary is closed. Make sure you're counting everything, all the time. If you're having difficulty losing, I would make sure to weigh and measure your food when possible. Overestimating burns from exercise and underestimating portion sizes can destroy a deficit. As can days not logging.

Are you eating 1500 calories net (eating back what yo u burn from exercise) or are you eating 1500 total regardless of your heavy workout load?0

Yep, this ^0 -
I'm the same height as you and I eat 1670 to lose .5 a week. I log accurately and get my 180 minutes of exercise a week.0

Yes, 1500 total :S
I feel like I'm losing so slowly at this rate that if I increase my calories, it will be worst.0 -
Have you tried cutting carbs and increasing protein and fat?
I'm doing a relaxed version of the Paleo diet: No grains, no refined sugars, plenty of protein.
-When I do this my blood sugar stays steady and I don't get hungry or headachy and feel awful.
-When I don't get hungry or headachy or feel awful, I can restrict my caloric intake to 1000 to 1200 per day. (I'm small, so I'm not going to keel over and die at that level.)
By a "relaxed" version, I mean I do eat some dairy-- mostly as plain yogurt of plain kefir, and a little soy and beans-- but not much.
I've done low-carb (e.g., South Beach-ish) before to lose 10 lbs or so -- and it works--, but the Paleo thing is easier and more effective. I'm losing and I feel great.
Weight training is great too but I've been doing that for 30 years anyway.0 -
same way I did the first 30-35...eating at a deficet.
I aim for 1/2lb a week and that is good for me.0 -

So that's what I think I still haven't figured out...I was losing about 0.5 pounds a week before, but since January I've lost about 3-4 pounds :S I think I'm losing less than 0.5.
I am already eating 1500 calories and working out a bunch. I have thought about bringing it down a little more but it just seems extreme. More than 1500 cals makes me feel like I won't have a deficit anymore, but less than 1500 feels way too little for the amount of exercise.
Oh and a note, yes I am measuring/weighing everything. I don't log it on the app but I have a spreadsheet with a list of everything I eat every day and my target calories/grams. Yes, I am being honest with myself.0
