Has anyone else experience this?

I've gone out a lot more lately and random guys will come up and dance all up on me while I'm dancing alone or with other women...and their buddy takes a pic then they walk off.

I'm completely baffled as to the reason of this! Its happened several times at different bars..and its different men.

Does anyone know a reason for this weird behavior?

P.S. Please be kind as It's really starting to feel like its a joke being played on me...The first time was weird..but I figured it was just some kind of shy thing...was trying to take it in a good light. But its happening a lot more lately.

ETA: Sorry the title is supposed to say experienced...I guess my fingers were too fast for the cursor to catch up..LOL

Any comments or suggestions as to why its happening would be helpful. If nobody replies the next time it happens I'm gonna grab the guy and make him talk.

I even checked Topix online to see if there was something on there about me or some weird take a pic with a chick thing going on.

I think it's a mating ritual. :grumble: Tho, having his buddy snap a pic then walk off is a but odd.

I haven't had guys get right up on me and, like, grind dance. Once a guy on the dance floor was staring at me so intently that I actually left the dance floor and kissed my man who was standing off to the side watching to let him know I wasn't interested in his creepy self. Then another time, I had this "wasted" guy in a fishnet dress come up to me and scream into my ear over the music "I'm so wasted!" I introduced him to my boyfriend (who was, as usual, standing off to the side watching the fun).

Both times have been recently and after dropping 20 lbs and gaining quite a bit of confidence. Can't say it's a comfortable feeling (the getting stared at) but at the same time it's a bit...flattering...in an odd way.

    Thanks for responding!

    It is just so odd!

I don't mind having a dance partner..makes it more fun. But, the whole taking a pic/vid thing then just walking off in the middle of the song..it makes me wonder what is going on.

I just don't know whether to take it as a compliment or slap someone. :grumble:

It seems like it happens every time I go out lately....Doesn't matter how I'm dressed. I've worn jeans and a t-shirt, skirts with nice tops, this weekend I wore a long white dress that goes to my ankles.

I live in a small rural town and there isn't much to do..unless I travel a bit. So, I hit the bars nearby, sometimes a town or two over. Usually accompanied by friends or my sister.

If it helps any...yes, I'm single...but I've been single for twelve years. I've never had this happen until recently. But its happening like the last five weekends I've gone out. Like I said different bars, different guys, doesn't matter how I'm dressed...It is just weird to me.
  • Who knows what they are doing in bars and or when drunk. There is never usually an explanation to whats going on!

Probably just trying to flirt with you and get your attention by taking a photo? Maybe hoping you will ask why he took it and then that gives them a chance to talk to you and say you are beautiful? Thats my only idea.....
  • Also- I am in a relationship but I never ever get hit on and I wish guys would- especially when I am feeling hot. Just because it makes you feel great!
