Any tips for exercising in the morning?

I'm back! It's been a while MFP! but boy I've missed you :-(
I've been exercising on and off but nothing like I was towards the end of last year. I've woken up this morning with a "I CAN beat it attitude". Just had a healthy breakfast of low fat natural yoghurt and granola (so far, so good!).
As the clocks went forward this weekend it's now going to be lighter in the evenings but my problem is, I leave for work at 7am and I don't get back until about 7.15pm! I'm used to swimming before work but I'd like to try something a bit more strenuous so I really get a sweat on. I'd like to try a mixture of 30DS and/or a run... wotcha think?
Does anyone have any tips for exercising immediately after the alarm has gone off - is that a good idea? Should I leave it 10 minutes (obviously need to get changed first, don't want to be jigging around the living room in just my PJ's!)
Has anyone tried this, then quickly went off it? I'm not a massive morning person but I do already have to get up fairly early. I'm sure once I've built it into the routine it'll become second nature to me.
Any thoughts/opinions/advice and suggestions should be gratefully received x

I get up and exercise straight away without eating and find this way it is out of the way and makes me feel energised for the day ahead. I'm doing P90X3 at the moment and love it. As long as it's something you enjoy it's easy to stick to it.0
