Runners?

Options
After a few months neglecting cardio a little, I'll back to running - if the snow will ever melt!! So, I'm looking for people who run: Men, women, older and younger. Just people who run regularly, as this is what I will be doing in the upcoming months and weeks.

Here are my best times. I'm looking forward to beat those.

5 km:
0:24:33 (2014-01-14, 4:54 min/km)

10 km:
0:53:03 (2013-11-03, 5:18 min/km)

Anyone wants to share motivation? I'm Ben, 31, from Montreal, Canada :) I log in daily, I support my friends and like being supported.

Hello Ben. I'm a bit of a new runner...been running for about 7 months. In that time I've ran two half marathons and lost almost 60 lbs. I've got the bug and can't seem to stop. I'm running 40 to 50 miles a week now.

    5k: 22:44
    10k: 48:14
    Half: 1:44:44

Here's my story and pictures of my first half:

Shoot me a friend request if you want another serious running buddy.

Hi Ben. I'm a newer runner too. Started running a year ago to loose weight and haven't stopped since then. Not the fastest runner but am loving it.

These were my race time. Ran my half in January but my speed has increased and in my 10 mile a few weeks ago I finally broke below 12 minute miles and I just PR in my 5k last week. My 10k was also in January.
    5k: 34:58
    10k: 1:06:45
    10 mile : 1:59:45
    Half: 2:46:49

    Hey Ben,

I'm a runner too. I've run I think 6 half marathons now & I'm going to run my first full in November. My PB for my half is 2:17:10 and I was going for a sub 60 10K when I broke my foot! I know I could have done it too. Previously I was at 1:02:38

I was 7 lbs above my goal when I broke my foot and managed to gain another 16. I'm back to running. No big distances, just working on getting my speed back right now and trying to drop 20 lbs! I'll start upping my distance again probably the end of the month.

Definitely send me an FR! I've been running for about a year. My average 5K time is 30 minutes. I'm currently training for a 10K and using the Adidas MiCoach app (which is awesome) to track my progress.

I'd love more running buddies. :)

I love to run!!! Its the best! I did my first 8k this year! Average pace a little over 10 min per mile. I ran the whole thing I didnt stop!! It was a great experience. Really made me realize how much I love running. I want to train for a half marathon.

I feel the term 'runner' is being a bit generous for what I do considering how slow I am but I give it a go. I have completed a half marathon (I only really 'ran' 3/4 on an off at most) in a not great 2:47. My 5k pb was just under 30min but I had some time off and am getting back into so a little slower at the mo.

    Hey Ben.

Times are very similar to mine. Been running for about 8 months now and have 4 10Ks booked for later this year. No snow in Scotland, where I live anyway, but weather is still rubbish.

Please feel free to add

    Hey Ben,
I've been running for about 3 years. Ive ran several 5Ks, a half marathon, a sprint triathlon and training for another in less than a month, a tough mudder and am already signed up for one in June.
All runners feel free to add me!

Hey a mile is a mile no mater what! With a 5k pb under 30 minutes, if you find a good training plan, you could easily beat your 2:47. :flowerforyou:

I used to hate running but got into it about 18 months ago. I haven't been brave enough yet to tackle a half marathon but have done 4 10k road races and 1 10k trail race (most difficult thing I've ever attempted). My best time for a 10k has been 52 mins 23 secs and I've just entered another for May so am hoping to beat this!! I usually do the Great Scottish Run in Sep/Oct and there's an option of a half marathon so I'll maybe see if I'm feeling up to it nearer the time.

Helo all..im a runner (obvisously)...started last year and getting set to do my 4th half in April (which was the first one I ever did last year, so plan on crushing my dismal time for that). Currently running about a 10:45 for half marathon, 9:40 for a 5K. When I hit my goals for this I will set sights for a full in the fall.

Anyone feel free to add me if they wish!

Beginner here. I started about 3-4 months back. I'm signed up for my first 10K at the end of April.

    My best 10K is 59:01 http://runkeeper.com/user/shmulyeng/activity/326808169

I initially started for weight loss but shifting now to increase my running distance.

I can use some MFP friends in a similar situation.
