Hello all, my name is jeramy and I just joined the site two days ago.
I have a basic question: Is it a good idea to go for a long walk after
eating a full meal? I've always been told this by other people but
I've never thought about what benefits this would have.

I've always heard you should wait for an hour or so after eating a big meal especially if you will be doing brisk walking. Welcome to the site, I'm new too. I joined last week and i'm really enjoying it!0

I'm not so sure there is any truth to that... I agree that exercise ANYTIME is great! I don't know that I would go for HIGH INTENSITY on a full tummy though - you don't want to get sick.

A nice leisurely walk after a meal is ok. I agree about not doing anything high intensity after a meal. But there are benifits in taking a walk after eating.
