    I've been watching it all along, so I'm excited-ish for the finale. I haven't been too happy with this last season though. It's kind of like they're trying too hard to be funny, and it's just... not.


    @Wendy, they have showed the mother. Ted just hasn't met her yet. It's not Robin.

    That depends on your goals. If your goal is to get sleepy before bed, then most TV shows are perfect for that!

    Sad ending, confusing, tried hard to wrap up ALL the lose ends in a two-episode finale.... not satisfying,. Ended up with more questions than answers.

    Interesting, I actually thought it wrapped up most things and didn't really leave any major questions. Mother died. Barney and Robin didn't last(shocking), Marshall got the judge job, Ted and Robin ended up together. I knew the mother was going to die, so was prepared for it to be a little sad, but glad they didn't make it really sappy. I thought this season was terrible but the finale was decent considering.

    Im happy with the ending.............You gotta remember the whole 9 seasons except for the last episode was Ted telling a story.....in his way. And trying to get an Ok from his kids to go after Robin. Well played............well played!

    Barney x Robin splitting makes sense, but it was kind of done in a weird way. They JUST showed their wedding and two seconds later it's all yeeeeah we're divorced now. Kind of makes it seem like this whole season was a waste.

    Did anyone feel like the finale was way too Robin-focused. Don't get me wrong, I love her character, but the whole thing was kind of like Robin missed this event, oh Robin missed that event. Robin's a cold-hearted witch now. I wonder where Robin is. I think there could have been less of that and more of showing how Ted x Robin would work in the future. The last ~5 or so minutes seemed rushed to me. /shrug

    And man, did Marshall and Lilly get screwed. Marshall got a promotion, Lily had another kid. At the end they just became the boring married couple that never spent time with their friends.

    this was my problem. they spent a year in Italy. the second kid was born there. and suddenly they're tied to NY?? suddenly they don't have a family passport? how about "OMG Robin's in a safe country this week, let's go!!" b/c that's more who they are. but then, IRL it happens too. ppl have kids and get boring.

    all-told though, I liked the ending. it was a "this is where they end up" which was always the purpose of the show. I love the Ted/Tracy chemistry.

    Side note: if How I Met Your Father takes place in mom's hospital room while she's dying? that'll just be MEAN!

    It is strange to accept. But I think thats kind of it though.........Its Ted rushing though the divorce portion of it on purpose because well going into details about a divorce wouldnt help his cause in getting his kids to give him the green light to go after Robin.
    Remember Teds the one telling the story....not the writers per se.....LOL
