Pre / Post Workout Supplementation

Hi - I'm hoping to hear your thoughts on the importance of pre / post workout supplementation. I have a fast digesting carb and a protein shake post workout but am debating on switching to a post workout supplement and adding in a pre workout. Thanks!

I guess it would depend on what your goals are for fitness. I personally don't do anything special at all pre- or post-workout. I just eat my normal foods when I normally would want them, and it may be earlier because I worked out, but I don't bother to get all specific about something. However, I'm not bulking or training for anything in particular.
I get up and workout before work, so I don't eat first (hate eating first thing when I get up). I do my cardio/yoga MWF or cardio/free weights TTh then go to work and make oatmeal or have whatever I brought for breakfast + tea + water. I eat lunch whenever I'm ready for it. On Tuesdays and Thursdays I go back in the evenings for more yoga, so I may bring an extra banana to eat about an hour before yoga to tide me over because dinner will be later those nights.0
