I excell in my career and relationships, but when it comes to taking care of me, I fail. Why do I always put taking care of myself last on the list??
This is a new start for me. I would love to connect with people who have conquered (or are in the process of conquering) a long battel with PUTTING THEMSELVES FIRST. Making Excercise a priority. And Fueling their body with good, healthy nutrients (no garbage foods)!
Let's connect and keep each other motivated....WARNING: I'm going to need support. My track record shows 2-3 weeks in, I give up....life gets too busy, I don't make TAKING CARE OF ME AND MY BODY a priority --- who can help??? I promise to be a motivating and engaged Fitness Pal!

As a mother of 3 busy kiddos and wife to one over scheduled husband I don't always get the chance to put myself first..... but I NEVER put myself last either! I make sure my needs and wants are met as well. I always find time to schedule in my exercise for the day even if I have to work around others. It makes for a happier me and a happier household! I grew watching my mother cater to her families every need, even so much so that she would fix three different meals at dinner time to please everyone. I swore I would never lose myself to my family and I haven't. I have always been good at what ever it is that I set out to do and my fitness and lifestyle are no exception! Welcome to MFP, glad to meet you!0

Welcome! You've taken the first step to answering your question. I think most women tend to put themselves last on their list....I've been told it's in our nature. I have always been the same way...luckily I have a husband who is okay with AND motivates me to take care of myself, especially when it comes to my health & fitness. I won't go into a long drawn out story, but what I will say is you need to MAKE yourself, make yourself a priority. What works for others may not work for you, it will take time and effort to discover what does work for you and HOW to make yourself a priority. You will certainly find plenty of support & motivation here.....enjoy it.....it's good to have you here! :flowerforyou:0
