Polar watch

I decided to use the cute little pink thing again because I am not too confident of the values showing on the treadmill.... But now I can't find the strap- thingy. Do I have to buy a new unit? Does it work at all without the strap? Thanks!

It most likely cannot work without the strap and the sensor. You should call Polar and find out what strap/sensor you need.. they are about $25 CDN I believe.

Had a funny feeling.... Who knows - maybe if I look hard enough in the pockets of my gym bag I can find it again?

    Thanks!!:flowerforyou:

Yeah definitely quadruple check before buying lol. I couldn't find my watch and went out and bought a new (crappier) Polar model. Found my watch the next day and took the other back. Haha. Thankfully in your case, it's just a strap and that's not a biggie to replace. GL! :)

I think you can just buy the strap. it's better than having a the strap but no watch. I had to buy a whole new unit. Now I have one watch and two straps.

You need the strap. The strap is what listens to your heart rate, the pod sends the single to your watch. If your was old, then get the new one anyway. My old one died, and the new one was a lot better (different design).

I have the pink Polar FT4... it came with the chest strap and is a must have. My husband has a much more expensive HRM and I wore it while I had on my Polar to compare my $99 purchase over his $298 one and got IDENTICAL results. I love my Polar!

Sometimes you can find one on Ebay and just wash it well in case. I hve 2 different Polar and both bands work with both watches. I love Polar

Thanks, Everyone! I am going to give it one last try to find the strap. But if I don't find it by Thursday morning, I will buy a new one.
