Best shoes for insanity?

So... I started Insanity today. Just finished with ChaLEAN extreme. I'm looking for a good shoe for all this jumping around. I have done similar plyo videos (ChaLEAN has a couple, P90X, etc) and have always had foot problems. I normally did them in my running shoes. I decided to get some cross trainers but those hurt my feet even more. Then I got some Nike Free FlyKnits to try a more minimalist shoe (cause the internets said it was a good idea) and they hurt my feet too. My feet are probably a bit wider than most. Anyone had success at finding a better shoe that doesn't cause pain?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I find New Balance to be a great all round trainer I guess if you've go problems with your feet, it's very much going to be a trial & error kinda thing.0

I ended up doing most of Insanity in my bare feet. They got a little sore sometimes, but it actually helped my knees feel better as being barefoot forces you to pay really close attention to your form during all those jumps.0

I do it barefoot. It actually provides a more natural jump and landing (for all that plyo) which makes it easier on not just the knees, but also the hips and back. This is what you're feet were designed for! They need a stretch and workout, too.
Plus, I hate shoes so...0 -
I do it barefoot, or in Vibrams five fingers (essentially barefoot but with better traction).0
