Toning your butt

Hey there, I am looking for more experienced people than me who can give me some advice or suggestions on how to tone my butt and hips/handles , I dont go to a gym, and i dont have equiptment in my house, I have stairs all around my apartment, in and outside, and I have 3lb dumb bells, so , see not much , and also no experiencce in toning or what to do or not to do .
Any advice woud be greatly appreicated,

Have you ever tried Brazil Butt Lift? Its a 60 day program and has a mix of leg work and cardio. I completed 60 days of it and lost about 10 inches off my thighs, waist and hips. They are challenging workouts but only 30-45 minutes a day 6 days a week.0

Yes to the squats, lunges, side lunges, planks, deadlifts, hip thrusts, etc.
Start unweighted to get the form down.
Then you can easily add weight by holding a couple of water-filled milk jugs (8 lbs per gallon), filling a backpack with books (I swear mine weighed a ton in college), etc. I sometimes do hip thrusts with my kid on me (he's only 30 pounds, so it's not that great, but you can find other stuff around the house, too).
Eventually I would recommend finding a gym. It gives you much more in the way of options. There are several gyms that have basic memberships for $10/month.0 -

I suggest padding the area where the bar makes contact with the body, because I've had bruises across my pubic area from this. You'll be surprised by how much weight you can lift. .0 -

I suggest padding the area where the bar makes contact with the body, because I've had bruises across my pubic area from this. You'll be surprised by how much weight you can lift. .
200 lbs sitting on those bones is painful- definitely get a yoga mat. I use one from the gym and I want to say I tri fold it- so it's at least 3 times the thickness- or 4. either or- needs padding.0 -

I find the bar pads typically designed for squatting are way to narrow for me for where I"m comfortable with my feet.0 -

Yep. Surplus to build your glutes, deficit to take the fat off.
You can add in a few other glute iso exercises, but this is the main one. The difference between the results from doing these and squats is pretty significant, and I love doing squats.0 -

I use the bar pad and then wrap a yoga mat around it. It's thick, but no bruises. I'm pushing 215 and moving up steadily. This exercise really pounds the glutes.0 -

I do BSS and lunges in one routine, and squats and lunges in another routine. I don't squat and BSS in the same day. I find that my legs are jello after BSS so i lunge without weights first, kind of like a warmup, and then do 3 sets of 10 BSS. I use dumbbells for my squats though.0 -

You can use pretty much anything as a weight, so milk jugs full of water or something would be great. Hold them and do some squats!0 -

do them whenever you want- just depends on time and what your over all plan is.
I often do squats then Split squats and something else same day.
I typically do a main lift- and then 2 accessories for each main lift.
I have a laundry list of leg stuff I like to do- so I rotate my accessories- the goal isn't to add weight but to improve flexiblity- explosiveness and target different areas. I feel it makes me legs more well rounded- plus doing squats, lunges and BB bridge lifts gets old- nice when you have a long list to rotate in and out of for accessory work.0
