Runtastic Calorie Burn Accurate

Hey Everyone,
I have started using runtastic and I am curious if the calories burned it reports at the end of the workout is accurate.
Here are my stats for today:
Speed: 6.64km/h
Distance: 6.28km
Duration: 56 min
Calories: 646
When I put in 3.5mph running for 55 minutes in fitness pal it told me I burned 300 calories.
Which is accurate?
Thanks!

Neither, unless you are wearing a HRM and have ensured that all your information is correct with the device, the calorie count is going to vary.

Even then you might want to be weary of how much you actually burnt as there can be fluctuations which can be quite dramatic.

I don't use runtastic, but I do use MapMyRun, and I know that the calorie burn is way over estimated. I also use an HRM, so I get an accurate calorie burn.
For example, I ran 4 miles today at a 13:00 pace. MMR says I burned 781 calories, but my HRM says I burned 508. Most likely in your situation I would either average the two numbers and enter that, or just take the lower number to be safe.

A lot of the running apps are overestimated. I use Run double and it always says I'm burning atleast 100 more than what my HRM says.
