Quad injury?

I think I injured my quad doing reverse lunges... lost my balance, wobbled and the next thing I know my right quad hurts and I can't do any of my exercises using my quad without a lot of pain... Any suggestions what I should do? I'm hoping this is a temporary thing and I'll feel back to normal tomorrow... but I'm worried that might not be the case...

Don't have any advice for you. But I hope you heal quickly. :flowerforyou:0

Usually if it hurts that quick, I've found a quick recovery is NOT going to happen.
Might easy roller pin it or massage it, not a joint issues, so some moist heat with gentle stretch.
You want to encourage blood flow to the area to aid in healing.
And when it finally doesn't hurt going in to workout, do first few reps with test lighter weight, just to confirm. You can have scar tissue much worse than normal which may cause the muscle fibers to not slide they way they should, making them tighter. And that can cause other imbalances.0 -

Ice it, take an anti-inflammatory like Advil, and foam roll it lightly after, then foam roll tomorrow. Sounds like you just overloaded the muscle. Usually this happens from too many reps and/or too much weight, but it's also common when you injure yourself like what it sounds like happened. Hopefully it's not worse. Not a physician, so not going to attempt any diagnosis over the Internet. If it's worse tomorrow, see a doctor.0
