Help! Having trouble with last 20 pounds!

I have lost almost 50 pounds over the last 8 months, but have definitely hit a plateau. I'm eating about 1,000 calories a day, walking about 6,000 - 8,000 steps and participating in kickboxing three times a week, yet have been circling the same weight for about a month. Any ideas on how to push through and lose this last 20 before August? I really want to wear a cute bathing suit this late summer!

    um, .... eat!

Traditional cardio sucks for fat loss: it doesn’t burn enough calories and the more cardio you do, the better your body becomes at it. Soon, you’ll actually burn less calories than before with the same amount of work.

you need to eat the right balance of carbs protein and fats
avoiding all carbs hurts your physical performance and fat loss.

    eat more protein
skimping on protein will slow your fat loss because your body actually burns more calories to digest protein than any another macronutrient. Protein also keeps you feeling full and maintains muscle mass while shedding body fat.

    add some lifting routines

Agreed. Eat more food and try different workout routines. After a while your body gets used to doing the same workout over and over again. Try a little jogging with your walks, maybe even add a HIIT there every other day to shake it up and some weight training.
