    Hi Jim,

I hope you are well today. you will have your good and bad days.
    Do not give up.
You had a stroke and this will hinder many of the activities you can do, but maybe with dedication you are able to add quality to your life. I am wishing you all the best, I know it is doable.
I am following a lovely lady, who decided she wanted to change her life. She started to lose weight, but shortly after she had a heart attack.
She got better and lost some more, but shortly after she had a stroke that left her with left side weakness. She was unable to walk without her rollator frame.

I am admiring her so much because she didn't give up. I might have. But she just went on and on. She took every day as a new lease on her life. she got stronger and stronger and the way she describes every little success in her blog is so emotional. From not being to move around without holding on to her frame, to being able to move around her house without holding on to furniture... Well, I have shed a few tears, because I was so happy for her.

She started out at 150 kg and is now around 90 kg but is so much fitter and happier.

I would give you her blog address, but it is in german.

You can be happier and lighter, you just have to decide you want it to be so. I know it is so hard some days, but even when you have set-backs, it is worth to go on.

    Please do.

    All the best

Chin UP!! you got this!! You've already taken the first step by joining here and being involved. I have bad days just like everyone else. All within two weeks my partner of 4 years left me, I lost my job, and a fractured my radial head in my arm. I was down and out and feeling hopeless but then I remembered that this was all just a test and I had to push through. instead of being sad that it all ended I was happy for having that experience. I had been "on a diet" (probably the only four letter word I DESPISE) for over a year with very little change. Then I realized that it all starts INSIDE and the outside will follow. now I am doing the best I have ever done and feeling better than ever. I changed my mindset and tell myself I can achieve ANYTHING that I want to and no one can or will hold me back. Enjoy the rain when it comes because you know that more sun is right around the corner. Don't be so hard on yourself and realize that you will have bad days and times will get tough but we're a family here and we are all running right along side of you until we all cross that finish line! best of luck to you and keep on keepin' on!
