Eating at a deficit and still not losing weight?

I recently got my rmr tested which came out to 1586 cal per day and from that it was calculated that with my exercise level (5-6days a week 45min+) I should consume 2400 cal. I've been following mfp recommendations so I eat 1500 plus my exercise calories to lose 2lb a week. The problem is that I've lost 10lbs and now the weight won't budge. I do have hypothyroidism among other issues which have just recently been controlled and I do take phentermine which really doesn't do anything. I'm 5'8 212lbs with lbm of 116. Could my weight loss also be affected since a year ago I went down from 235 to 165? (I gained it back due to hypothyroidism issues and carelessness).
