Body frame and wrist size? I feel like it's lying to me.

I can't get my finger to touch my thumb (7" wrist). I have wide feet. I have linebacker shoulders. Beneath all the fat I have large leg and arm muscles. Yes, I am definitely large frame.

That's great, but I still don't see why this matters. If you know your bf %...why worry about comparing what someone who has a larger frame would come in as? Why even worry about the weight unless you are going into a competition broken into weight class?

It only matters when you hit your goal weight and you're still not happy with your body composition. I'd love to weigh 185 at 10-12% body fat, but that ain't happening without a couple more years of bustin' *kitten* in the gym.

In an ideal world we would all have a perfect record of our bodyfat percentage, no one would care about their weight only their BF % and general fitness and people would be concerned about their lean mass rather than their overall scale weight.

In our world people look at their scale weight as a measure of their fitness because getting accurate BF measurements is difficult and culturally some people just obsess over weight rather than fitness. In those cases better to at least be a bit more informed and know your frame size so you don't pick a goal weight that is totally unreasonable for your frame.
  • Yeah my goal weight is 140, so even if I get there and I'm still not the right BF % / my body is still a little pudgy, it wouldn't be a big deal to just lose 5-10 more lbs. It's not like I'm going to stop working out when I reach my goal, anyway.
