I'm aiming to burn off 1000+ calories a day. Anyone else have the same goals and want to start a group or something? This can be through any form of exercise.

That's my goal as well but I often have trouble getting there. I normally end up just spending a lot of time on the elliptical at the gym. Would love to hear what you all do to burn all those calories and still have time for life :ohwell:0

That's my goal, but I don't always make it. :blushing:0

That is my goal too, at least 3-5 times a week. I have 2 small kids and work full time so that is all I can do. I would love to reach it everyday though0

That sounds like an interesting idea. I come close a lot of times, but never 1K. I am willing to give it a try.0

Think there is 3500 calories in a pound..if you can get to 7000 per week, thats 2 pounds a week guaranteed.0

Wow that is alot of calories.....the most I have made so far is only a little over 700. I know in a week or so I might be able to accomplish that ....
it is most def worth a try!!0 -

I can do 13-1400 in a hard workout, but I cant do it daily, its not practical, your body needs to rest.0

Also factor in you would likely have to eat some of that back (I usually do) to keep from starving youself, so you wouldnt get the full benefit of the 1000 cals0 -

Agree - I'd have to run for almost 2 hours to burn that many calories (and I do this on Saturdays). And then I have to take a nap in the afternoon to recover :-)0 -

A couple months ago I started biking again and I try putting in a good hour ride over my lunch break. Right now MFP says i'm burning 1371 riding 16-20mph an hour. Today is the 7th day in a row I rode for 45 - 194 minutes.
I don't think I could reach my goals as easily do other forms of exercise, biking so far has been knocking the pounds off..0 -
Once you get your stamina up and can put in some good weekend rides you can really burn some calories..
I did a 60 mile ride a few weeks ago and burned 4935 calories (averaging a pace of 17.5 mph)0
