iPhone app not alerting me when I don't log, how to fix?

I changed the settings in notification settings so that the app can put up alerts, banners but I'm not getting a reminder if the time I've set passes without logging my meals. Any ideas?

    Whenever my iPhone acts up, I just power it off and turn it back on. Usually fixes minor glitches like that.
