    In the old days, yes. Now there are apps/programs online that will solve them for you I use

    Yes, well we got tossed out when we tried to get a table. About 20 years ago, we were in Santo Domingo, DR and American restaurants were all the rage in town at the time and tended to be expensive (even a Wendy's value meal was about $15 USD at the time). We went to a TGI Friday's (despite having the TGIF logos everywhere, they called themselves Friday's American Bar). We showed up in polos and dress shorts, appropriate attire in any TGIFs I have ever been stateside. We got tossed from the restaurant because we were dressed to casual (looking in there when we got tossed, I recall seeing people in suits and cocktail dresses). That didn't go down too well with us :)
