Is there a salt substitute that actually tastes close to salt? I know there are a ton of sugar substitutes out there, but the only salt ones I have heard of are Mrs Dash, which is OK, but tastes nothing like salt.

There is one called lo-salt, its ok but tastes more like salt and vinegar to be honest. I love my salty foods but am slowly starting to reduce salt by using more herbs and spices to bring out flavour. Garlic and cayenne pepper being particular favourites of mine.0

Your body does need a little salt. Try sea salt and herbs and spices0

Morton acually makes a salt substitute that has zero sodium - but it tastes just like salt. We use it on occassion for cooking when we need a little boost in flavor.0
