Working in Nutrition

I'm thinking about going into a career in nutrition. I'm passionate about it and I've taken one of those free courses that don't really do anything towards certifying you for anything but it has certainly proven to me that it's something I enjoy.
I am looking into doing future fit's nutrition and weight management diploma, but I wanted some advice first. I would have loved to have known I wanted to do this before I went to uni and studied sociology, but alas, nutrition was the last thing on my mind then. What would anyone in the industry suggest to a graduate who wants a career change? what kind of jobs are out there? is it a pointless endevour without a degree and masters in nutritional science?
