Calorie Counting.. 1600 or 1350?

Hi Pals!
Last week I bumped my weekly pounds lost goal up to 2 lbs from 1.5.. It cut down from 1600 to 1350. I have been feeling woozy/light headed and really tired at 1350, but do i give up losing faster for eating a little more and not feeling so exhausted during the day? 'or is this just something I need to push through and get used to?

Hmm...woozy and lightheaded doesn't sound good. You might try 1450-1500 for a few days and see if that improves how you feel.

Two pounds a week is really pushing it, IMHO. I average 1 to 1.5 pounds a week. When I first started out, my weight loss was *really* slow and I wondered why I barely lost 3 pounds in 3 weeks. After that, it seemed like things clicked and I was comfortably dropping a pound a week on average. I know it's the hardest thing to hear, but patience and motivation will get you to your goal weight. It really will :flowerforyou:

If you're feeling woozy at 1350 then your body is likely trying to tell you something. Without knowing your stats/activity level it's really impossible to say whether or not 1350 is right for you. It's a low calorie goal for most people.

I'd just remind you that MFP sets their goals low expecting that you'll log your exercise and eat back at least a portion of the extra calories you earn. If you're exercising and not eating those back, it might be somewhere to start.

This thread has a lot of great information on setting your calorie targets: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/819055-setting-your-calorie-and-macro-targets

If you're woozy, light-headed, etc - then yeah, i would eat more.

maybe eat an extra couple hundred calories of high quality protein?
