Help, I'm a Man with Shoe Addiction

I've always been partial to well-crafted shoes. A chunk of my first paycheck went to a pair of Doc Martens. However, I ,mostly just had a pair of work shoes to wear with khakis, a pair of sneakers and a pair of boots. Some were great, others maddened me enough to search for something better. When I found a pair I liked, I wore them every day and they were worn out in a year.
This year, however, I had a pair of shoes I really liked fall apart on me in less than 8 months and then the shoes I bought to replace them turned out to have this cheap leather finish and looked like hell in a week. I decided it was time for quality shoes and found out about Allen Edmonds, one of the last companies still making shoes in the USA. They cost $250 or more, but can be sent to the factory for $125 and restored, resoled, etc. so you can pretty much just keep the same shoes for 20 years.
I found a pair on eBay, but bought the wrong size so I sold them. Then I bought another used pair in bad shape, wore them for a week, found them new on Amazon for $150, bought the new ones and re-dyed and polished the old ones and sold those too. But then I found these really nice dressier versions on eBay for $65 and bought those too. Then I found some wingtips for $60 and bought those. Then I found some suede oxfords that were stained for $15 and dyed them a darker color. Now I just bought a pair of retro bowling shoes for $60 too.
So now I have five pairs of Allen Edmonds shoes. With shipping and supplies, I've spent $500 on shoes in two months. Because I felt bad about spending all that money instead of paying off credit cards, I have started buying shoes and other items at thrift stores and selling them on eBay. I've made about $500 in net profits, so it's a wash, but still - I need to stop!
