Time to say "Hi". New and ready to do this.

I've been using MFP to count my calories and lurking the boards for almost a month. It's time to say "Hi". I'm 49, 5'8" and weigh 301.
When I started tracking my calories I didn't have a scale that went above 300lbs. So now with my new scale I know right where I'm at and I'm ready to rock this out!

Finding out my blood pressure was through the roof was what gave me the kick I needed to start changing my bad habits. The people here in the community have already given me a ton of inspiration.

Looking for some friends to keep me motivated and offer up some helpful hints.
