Adding my own circuit workout to 30 day shred?

I'm currently doing 30 day shred, but i want to add another circuit style workout afterwards (with weights mostly). Cuz those 20-25 min videos are not enough. But I'm not sure HOW to make up a circuit workout. I'm not 100% sure on the format. Am i supposed to add light cardio in between the exercises? are all exercises 30secs each? how long are rest periods?

does anyone do their own circuit training workout? if so, could you give me a sample of what you do and the timing

Whenever I have noticed the 30 day shred circuits getting easy, I do the advanced version and then when that gets easier, I up my weights. I do intervals on my elliptical for 30-45 minutes before I do the shred. You can find lots of ideas for other circuits online. Just google circuit training ideas.

I've just started 30DS (day 2) and I've just added it to my normal routine. I'm not sore because my body is used to this sort of exercises and for example tonight I only burned 162kcals, I could inhale 162kcals!

Why not just do 2 of the workouts in a row or use 5 or 10lb dumbbells?

I also make up my own circuits. Here's an example:
walk with incline 3 min on treadmill (if no treadmill, do jumping jacks, run in place, or jump rope)
    25 push-ups
20 lunges with bicep curls(8-10lb dumbbells)
20 plie squats with triceps extension(dumbbells)
    repeat 3x

Another my friend and I do at the gym(while holding the weight bar)-one person does the weight set while the other does the jump rope, then we switch:
    10 lunges
    15 good mornings
    20 standing calf raises
    10 overhead press
    jump rope
Repeat 3x--then we do 1 min step-ups and 1 min ab intervals 3x

Increase your weights, increase your range of motion, increase your intensity on the cardio portions on the video. Adding another circuit training workout on top of what you are already doing isn't necessarily a good thing because you could end up overtraining the muscles and you could be more prone to injury.

I'm sure if you look on You Tube, there are loads on there. Jillian Michaels does other ones as well if you like her style on 30 day shred. I think you're very brave. I've only just started shred, I've only ever done a little cardio before, aerobics, dancing etc. I have arthritis and am getting old - 52 and have let myself go a bit due to a bad year last year, so decided to bite the bullet and try. On day 5 level 1 now, I found it hard at first, but it is getting easier and I must admit I am more supple already. Fewer neck/back, foot pains. Good luck in finding something that suits you. Keep going now as it's much harder to re-start once you get out of shape and older. xxx

    "Not enough" in what way?

Do you want to burn more calories so you can eat more?
    Improve endurance?
