Paleo- if you are looking for something different

Background: I have used a scale. I have tried high calories and low calories. I have had bloodwork done, and visited a doctor. My weight would not decline. I logged everything down to the smallest amount.

I gave up soda cold turkey 290 days ago.

I follow a person that was losing weight and how relative easy it was. His expression: doesnt come from something with a face or green, don't eat it. Then I discovered this mirrored Paleo.

For 24 days I have been doing the change. I have lost 5 inches in my waist and 18lbs. I don't use a scale because I don't care. I eat more vegetables and have 1-2 servings of fruit every other day. I have started running again and doing a p90x hybrid. I do this with only vegetable carbs and occasional fruit carbs.

I have not cheated and don't have a desire to. I don't eat seafood not because I don't want moderation because I don't want it. I have other goals besides eating breads and sweets.

Do I feel I am missing out? not at all.

I have a family they eat their own meals, it works for us.

I don't salt food, never have. Have always preferred plain salad to loaded up with dressing. Can go years without alcohol. Don't drink sodas. I also don't eat or drink dairy. It works for me.

To those that say moderation good for you.

If you like meat and non-starchy vegetables you might like this diet.

No matter what method you pick, make sure you are happy with it, and not what someone else tries to force on you.

Try cutting out all sweets as first. Then go to grains and start bulking up everything with vegetable. If you want something sweet try eating fruit instead but keep it limited if you want to lose weight.
