I'm loving this new combo! I found hummus almost a year ago and really LOVE the red pepper mix.

You can check out my food diary for specific brands, but here is the general recipe:

4 teaspoons of hummus (1.3 tablespoons)
1/2 cucumber, sliced
1/8 cup of feta cheese (I picked up the tomato flavor)
1 pita

1. Cut the pita in half
2. Toast it in the toaster so it's nice and crispy, but not burned.
3. Filet it open and apply the hummus to all sides of the interior of the pita.
4. Place one slice of the cucumber on the corner edge of the pita and top with cube of feta cheese.
5. Bite the pita, hummus, cucumber and feta part off.

repeat steps 4-5 until you're finished.

YUMMO!!!

What do you think?? What "new" food/food combos have you found??

That sounds really good. I love hummus. Right now, I'm addicted to celery with whole earth peanut butter and sultanas.

1tbl fresh ground almond butter + 1 Activia Light yogurt = my favorite daily treat!

(i add it to my greek yogurt too. But, the sweetness of the Activia yogurt makes is a yummy sweet treat!)

it's consistency is softer than a bean dip, it's flavor is dependant lrgely on what is in it, but original flavor is a light lemony/sesame flavor. It is good as a dip or as a spread. Most veggies are yummy along with it.

Try it! three pepper by athenos or roasted garlic flavors are easy to find and are YUMMY!

Thanks! I know we sell it at work and have several flavors so I will check them out.
So it is used as a dip with veggies and as a spread?
