How much deficit is too much deficit?

Yeah, so how much is too much? Yesterday I had a 1,110 cal deficit, 714 left over and 396 from exercise, I was going to eat more but I kinda fell asleep. I wasn't hungry, but I know I needed more, but by how much? So am I getting enough calories, I 'm 18, about 257 and I'm 5' 7"? Oh and my diary is open.

One day like that won't hurt you but you DEFINITELY don't want to make it a habit.

Having an average caloric deficit greater than 1000 under your TDEE is counterproductive to successful, longterm, sane weightloss, in my experience and research.

That being said, your 1110 deficit you list is already probably 1000 calories under your TDEE. So your total deficit for the day was probably actually 2000. I think it's best to not make this a habit. The brain chemistry involved in overeating isn't significantly different from the brain chemistry involved in anorexia. It's surprisingly easy to trade one eating disorder for another. Don't be that person. Be smart. Eat at a sensible deficit.
