CLA.

Has anyone tried using CLA for weightloss? I heard it helps but I've never tried it.
I'm at the point in my journey where losing weight is becoming extremely difficult and I need a bit of a boost.
Thanks.

CLA may or may not help, but the general consensus is that it is a placebo for the majority. I am sure there are cases where the individual was deficient or something and it helped, but in general, it hasn't been proven to really do much - certainly not "boost" your weightloss.

Questions - what is your regimen? Why do you think losing weight is becoming difficult? Do you have data that proves it or are you just feeling like the grind is getting old and starting to lose focus?

get your diet squared away first.....

Some studies say yes it helps, others say no.....

But you have to take it a while.....regardless.

You are far better making sure your diet is on target and trying that for a while.

by the way, to fully answer your question, I picked up some CLA once when I was buying protein powder and they offered a bottle really cheap. I took it until it was gone, but didn't notice any increase in weightloss compared to before or after the period I was taking the CLA.

you haven't logged your food in the last few days. try doing that for a month or so, and lets see what happens.

My diet isn't perfect by no means, I could probably do better with it. I think I'm more of just at a plateau because I've never had a problem losing weight until now (155). I don't think I'm losing focus but I am a bit stressed about the plateau. I know I just have to be patient and go the extra mile.
However, if no one has had CLA benefits, there's no since in me spending the money.
I saw this on the Dr. Oz show.

how tall are you? at 155, you might be within your BMI range (although take that with a grain of salt).

i'm a big guy, and at 6'3" and 230 lbs, i feel and look great. but according to the BMI chart, i'm 25 pounds overweight!!! the lowest i got was 219, and i was just tired all the time and barely ate. i have a big frame, and really have no desire to drop down below 220 lbs.

I'm 5'6. I feel great, I'm a size 4/6, small shirt size. It may just be my time to quit losing weight??

My goal weight was 135. But I don't want to risk the feeling of being tired all the time either.

your BMI is just at the high edge of normal!! congrats!!

i can understand still wanting to reshape your body, and looking at the mirror and feeling like you're not done yet. this is the phase where it will take a lot more hardwork in the gym, and more discipline at the dinner table.

don't look at pills and juice cleanses for anything. have you used them before? no. why would you need them now??

look at a few other things for you to change. have you considered the leangains method of fasting? it's where you pretty much skip breakfast to allow your body to something-something science burn more fat. you still consume your daily calories, just in a small window. do some research, as women respond to this a little differently then men.

do you lift weights? if you don't, i think you should. check out my buddy staci. http://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/2011/07/21/meet-staci-your-new-powerlifting-super-hero/
