The sodium goal is generally viewed as an upper limit, something not to go over.
  • I have the opposite problem! Everything I eat is packed with salt.

thanks guys I know if you have low sodium and excersise a lot you can get ill as you sweat a lot of sodium when you work out soi was pre worrying it seems that a bit of marmite is helping to top it up

If you measure the table salt you add to your food and not just the sodium on your labeled foods, you might notice a big difference. I noticed an enormous difference, but I love salt and it keeps my BP up. Explains the water weight fluctuation too.

That may be true, but when you can't use your phone because your thumbs are shaking so much haha you may have a sodium deficiency! My friend was on ideal protien diet for a while and was instructed to add natural sea salt to her
Chicken and veggies, and told me that was probably my problem, low and behold 5 pickles later and up to almost a
Gram of salt I was no longer shakey!

Just add salt to your food. Or eat a few olives or pickles. I have had a similar problem in the past. Not hard to fix.
