Lifting - Plans?

So I'm want to start lifting weights, but do not really have time to do a lot of research. Can anyone recommend a good source, that is easy to understand/get through for someone starting out?
I have free weights at home and access to a full gym.
Thank you in advance for your advice.

I am using New Rules of Lifting - it's pretty darn good. There is also a woman's version NROL4W - I have read that too and it is even more comprehensive.

Starting Strength by Mark Rippetoe is a great into to strength movements for both men and women. It'll have information on programming as well as how-to's for performing lifts correctly. Highly recommend it for beginners.0

If you go to BodyBuilding.com, you can put in your goals, and it'll give you plan suggestions. It'll also let you build a custom plan. You can track it on their free app or on your computer.0

You don't need to use a routine specifically for women. New Rules of Lifting for Women is good (it's a book), but can be confusing, so if you do that one, I would join the NROL4W group and use the pre-filled workout logs they have a link for on their page. All Pro: A Beginner's Routine is on bodybuilding.com, and is a good one. I haven't used Starting Strength, but I hear a lot of good things about it. http://startingstrength.wikia.com/wiki/FAQ:The_Program0

I'm doing Strong Lifts 5x5. I had no experience at all before starting so it's really designed for the beginner.
You can find the program explained a little here:

If you have a smartphone you can download the app and it literally tells you what to lift each workout and how much to lift.0 -

Bodybuilding.com is great for plans. I like WorkoutLabs.com too because they have predesigned ones which I used to find my fave exercises, and then you can put together your own plans with the exercises you like. I like to change mine up every so often too.0

Stronglifts and NROLFW are great. I prefer 5x5 though because I can't imagine myself walking around with paper/book plus my water bottle and phone... Stronglifts program is easy for me to remember and also has an app!0

There was a girl who used to be pretty active here, and she used this program. That's how I heard about it, but I can't do a pull-up yet, and I want to do it when I don't have to make substitutions. That program did amazing things to her body. I wish she was still around so I could point you in her direction.0
