New here - how can I stay on track

Hi,
I've just joined a couple of days ago and am finding my way around! Looks like a great site, with plenty of support and very active members!
I have about 15kg to lose (about 35lbs??), which I have been struggling with for the last six years (!!!) since giving birth to my daughter. I've tried diet after diet and I just don't stick to them. After a couple of weeks or days, I just seem to ease off and bad habits start creeping in, which means I don't lose any weight, abandon the diet and get more and more frustrated with myself. I feel like I'm at the end of my rope... but the only two options are to keep trying...... or give up completely... but I don't want to do that.
So yeah... this is the start of another attempt and I really need to have my head in the right space. Its a really big question... but how do you guys do to stay on track?

Welcome!! You gotta get plugged in with a lot of friends on MFP! we encourage each other and help each other a lot on here. and take it one day at a time. if you mess up one day, remember the next day is completely new and has endless possibilities! add me if you want.:flowerforyou:0

i agree, add some friends, it has helped me stay motivated so far. and keep up with logging every item you eat and you will not want to cheat as much

I stay on track by staying connected! Welcome and forget about what happened or didn't happen in the past. When you get tomorrow you have a whole new opportunity! Try not to overdo and be patient! Make your goal to sign in tho this site everyday and update something! Try doing three push ups and 5 sit ups and dance to one of your favorite songs! Then log it. Everything counts!!! And guess what! You exercised! Feel free to send a friend request and I will help you if you will help me! The Buddy system is an amazing thing!! But you have to log on!! It took me a month to just get that habit down! Once I got it, I started losing weight! I've lost 7 so far, only 43 more to go!! Hey... It's a start!

Add friends and always track what you are eating and how much you exercise. We are here to support you. Good Luck.

I LOVE this site...It has helped me overcome the plateau that I was stuck on for two months...I tried logging my calories before in a journal and it just took way too long...this one is SUPER easy and most foods are on here!!! I also like how it shows me at the end of each day what my weight would be if every day were like that day...the support and message boards here are also wonderful...I am so glad I stumbled across this site!!!!0
