Hey everyone, I just started this site about a week ago and the first few days I ate really good...But now Im not doing so good. Im a stay at home mom, so it seems like food is everywhere I look. I really need some support, and motivation. Anyone willing to tell me to get my big butt in shape lol. I'm looking for friends to help me reach my goals. I want to feel better, and look better. I want to be able to go shopping and have fun, instead of dreading it. Please help me...Im in need !!!

you can do it! just think of each day as a new day and little changes turn into big rewards!. praise yourself for doing better, and don't be so hard on yourself. IF YOU BELIEVE IT, YOU CAN ACHIEVE IT! GOOD LUCK!0

Hello! I stay at home with my son because I am disabled so I know your worries. eating with the kids or what the kids want. Munching while you are watching tv or bored. Its so easy while you are at home. but first and foremost...try to get the whole family eating better. So don't buy the food you can't have. If it's not in the house you can't eat it. Drink LOTS of water and fill up on fiber. Also cleaning the house and playing with the kids helps burning the calories
We are all here to help each other. This place is very full of supportive people. You can do it if you are willing to put in the work!0 -
I'm a SAHM as well, and it was TOUGH to get going. I started only buying the necessary food when I went to the store, and only snack type stuff for the kids. That way I'm not tempted. And the longer you eat like that, the easier it gets!! You can add me as a friend if you want!0

Hi Mandee!
Start the Couch to 5K program! I'm starting tomorrow and it has worked for tons of people on this site. I've only been on MFP for two weeks and tomorrrow will be the first time I exercise. Couch to 5 K is simple and the first week only requires 20 minutes of working out 2 or 3 times a week. We can easily do that!
As for the food temptation, I think you should get rid of the high calorie, high sugar stuff if you can and then pick healthier snacks. I eat every 2-3 hours: breakfast 8 AM, snack 10 am, lunch 12 noon, snack 3 pm, dinner 6, snack 8 pm. But I make sure my snack is low in calories. Otherwise, leave your house if you can and go for a walk or the library to check out workout DVDs or healthy cookbooks. Just distract yourself with something healthy.
I know you can do it!
