Why am I not loosing any of my weight?

Okay I do not expect to just shed the pounds, but since I am still in highschool, I expected to at least go down a smidge on the scale. I started my diet a week ago and normally when I start a diet the pounds come of almost immediately. I have been eating the right calorie intake and I have been working out a lot. But the problem is every time I weight myself on the scale I am the exact same number, 146.6. And then two days ago I went up and now I am 146.8. I know I need to be patient but right now I am not showing any weight loss and this isn't normal for my body. Why am I not loosing weight?

Toss the scale and buy a tape measure and be patient. One week is no time period to judge or become discourage.

You need to be weighing your food and making sure you're logging consistently and accurately to be sure that you're actually in a deficit. And then you need to be patient! And if you're not 18 yet, you need to deactivate your account and head over to sparkteens.com. Good luck with your weight loss!

Just out of curiosity, how many calories are you eating?

working out a lot is probably your tip-off. When you start a new exercise program or increase the intensity of a current exercise program, your muscles will tend to retain water to cushion and repair themselves. Retained water adds scale weight of course, so even if you've lost a bit of fat, it will be masked by the water retained in your muscles. This will pass as your body acclimates to the added exercise - and as akaMrsmojo said, a week is not enough time to judge or become discouraged!

Try to only weigh yourself once a week. Your weight will fluctuate throughout the week, so if you weigh yourself the same day and time every week you should have a more accurate weight. Also, buy a tape measure to record your inches etc...
Just out of interest, what is your height? As 148 for my height for example, I am 5ft 7in, is a very healthy weight.
